dc.description.abstractEn el municipio de Timbiquí en el departamento del Cuaca, por varias décadas se han venido desarrollando actividades de minería ilegal, el cual ha generado un enorme impacto ambiental en la zona, debido al uso de métodos poco rigurosos como el tanteo para la exploración y explotación de oro. Es con esto en mente que se realizó un estudio exploratorio con los métodos geofísicos de Tomografía de Resistividad Eléctrica (TRE), Polarización Inducida (PI) y Tomografía de refracción Sísmica (TRS) en el que se emplearon 6 líneas de TRE de 200 y 400 m y 8 líneas de TRS de 115 m, con el fin de determinar la geometría, extensión y ubicación de estructuras de paleocanal en la zona, que son las que contienen las concentraciones de oro para su explotación. Los datos obtenidos permiten crear perfiles geológicos en los que se pueden visualizar los paleocanales, y mapas con las ubicaciones y extensión de estos. En la zona de estudio se identificaron dos unidades geológicas predominantes, La Formación Raposo con valores de resistividad bajos y altas velocidades de onda y depósitos cuaternarios en donde se encuentran los paleocanales con los valores más altos de resistividad y bajas velocidades de onda
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the municipality of Timbiquí in the department of Cuaca, illegal mining activities have been carried out for several decades, which has generated a huge environmental impact in the area, due to the use of lax methods such as trial and error for exploration and exploitation. of gold. It is with this in mind that an exploratory study was carried out with the geophysical methods of Electrical Resistivity Tomography (TRE), Induced Polarization (PI) and Seismic Refraction Tomography (TRS) in which 6 lines of TRE of 200 and 400 were used. m and 8 TRS lines of 115 m, in order to determine the geometry, extension and location of paleochannel structures in the area, which are the ones that contain the gold concentrations for their exploitation. The data obtained allow the creation of geological profiles in which the paleochannels can be visualized, and maps with their locations and extent. Two predominant geological units were identified in the study area, the Raposo Formation with low resistivity values and high wave speeds and quaternary deposits where the paleochannels with the highest resistivity values and low wave speeds are found
