| dc.description.abstract | El Modelo es un instrumento de análisis y evaluación que permite conocer la situación financiera de las Entidades Prestadoras de Servicios Públicos (E.P.S.P) al guiar al evaluador mediante la utilización de un proceso estructurado. La metodología utilizada en el planteamiento del modelo de evaluación financiera partió del conocimiento del sector servicios y las leyes que los rigen, seguido de la documentación y análisis sobre el tema financiero que permitió identificar las necesidades de información, a continuación se dividió el desarrollo del modelo en una serie de etapas solicitud de información, análisis de la información obtenida. realización del modelo de análisis financiero, realización del modelo de análisis presupuestal e indicadores complementarios. Se realizó a su vez una prueba piloto a las empresas prestadoras de servicios públicos de Bucaramanga, con lo que se verificó el correcto funcionamiento y el cumplimiento de los objetivos del modelo. Es así como el modelo sirve de guía para que la Cámara de Comercio de Bucaramanga, las empresas de servicios públicos y evaluadores independientes realicen la evaluación financiera, ya que su estructura estandariza, agiliza y brinda la información pertinente para que la evaluación financiera y presupuestal se lleve a cabo. Se concluyó que el modelo planteado es una herramienta que permite un acercamiento a la realidad de las empresas en un momento determinado, aun así, no distingue todos los estados de la realidad.
