dc.description.abstractEn Los Principios de la filosofía en la primera parte, Descartes presenta, de manera ordenada por sentencias seguidas de su explicación, su desarrollo de la metafísica, con la cual busca llegar a la certeza por medio de la investigación racional, eliminando aquello que lo lleva al error y estableciendo ideas claras y distintas sobre la mente, el cuerpo y el mundo sensible. Esto se ve con mayor claridad en la traducción francesa, donde Descartes antepone una carta que el editor utiliza como prefacio del texto. En ella explica qué es pertinente entender por filosofía, cómo debe ser entendida, los errores en los que cayeron los antiguos, las condiciones que debe tener la investigación sobre la verdad y el conocimiento que se quiere alcanzar. Todo esto es el tema del primer capítulo de este texto. Como segundo capítulo se analizan los primeros treinta principios, donde se establecer la certeza del YO que piensa y por esta vía las certezas que se pueden tener de Dios; también se enuncian algunas ideas sobre el error que serán de gran importancia para el capítulo venidero. En el tercer y último capítulo se analizan cuestiones como el error, el libre albedrio y la substancia. En busca de claridad sobre esto, se explican las substancias pensantes creada y la substancia corpórea como venidas de la substancia infinita (Dios); sus modos , sus atributos, la relación de ellos con el conocimiento verdadero y las consideraciones necesarias para evitar el error.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the Principles of Philosophy in the first part, Descartes presents, in an orderly manner by sentences followed by his explanation, his development of metaphysics, with which he seeks to reach certainty by means of rational investigation, eliminating what it leads to error and establishing clear and distinct ideas about the mind, the body and the sensible world. This is seen most clearly in the French translation, where Descartes prefers a letter that the editor uses as a preface to the text. In it he explains what is relevant to understand by philosophy, how it should be understood, the errors in which the ancients fell, the conditions that the research about the truth must have and the knowledge that is to be achieved. All this is the subject of the first chapter of this text. As a second chapter the first thirty principles are analyzed, where the certainty of the self that thinks is established and in this way the certainties that can be had of God; Some ideas about the error are also enunciated, which will be of great importance for the coming chapter. In the third and last chapter issues such as error, free will and substance are analyzed. In search of clarity about this, the created thinking substances and the corporeal substance are explained as coming from the infinite substance (God); its modes, its attributes, the relationship of these with the true knowledge and the necessary considerations to avoid the error.
