dc.description.abstractLa práctica empresarial, como forma para optar por el título de ingeniero, presenta un puente para disminuir la brecha que separa el ámbito laboral y la esfera académica. Ayuda a conocer con mayor profundidad el entorno en donde se aplicarán los conocimientos aprendidos en la academia y brinda la oportunidad de desarrollar nuevas habilidades. Este informe detalla la experiencia de la práctica empresarial realizada en la Alcaldía de Bucaramanga cuyo objetivo fue realizar apoyo técnico en los procesos de contratación y supervisión que fueran ejecutados por la Secretaría de Infraestructura. Las actividades principales se enfocaron en visitas de obra e informes técnicos para la supervisión de obras y en la realización de labores administrativas relacionadas con la contratación de obra pública y consultoría adelantada por la entidad, permitiendo así al practicante familiarizarse con las labores desempeñadas en el sector público, adentrando en un ámbito poco explorado para los ingenieros como lo es el área administrativa. En el marco de las actividades asociadas a procesos de contratación, se tuvo la oportunidad de utilizar la plataforma estatal SECOP, instrumento clave para gestionar proyectos para entidades gubernamentales. Como aporte al conocimiento se presenta un diagrama de procesos donde se evidencian las diferentes etapas que se desarrollan durante una modalidad de contratación con el estado, haciendo énfasis especial en la etapa contractual en donde se ejecutan las obras; adicionalmente, se presentan conclusiones y recomendaciones orientadas al continuo mejoramiento de la Entidad.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe business internship, as a means to opt for an engineering degree, presents itself as a bridge to reduce the gap between the work environment and the academic sphere. It helps to gain a deeper understanding of the environment where the knowledge learned in the academy will be applied and provides the opportunity to develop new skills. This report details the experience of the business internship carried out in the Bucaramanga Mayor's Office, whose objective was to provide technical support in the contracting and supervision processes executed by the Secretariat of Infrastructure. The main activities were focused on site visits and technical reports for the supervision of works and the performance of administrative tasks related to the contracting of public works and consultancy carried out by the entity, thus allowing the intern to become familiar with the tasks performed in the public sector, entering a field little explored for engineers such as the administrative area. Within the framework of the activities associated with contracting processes, the intern had the opportunity to use the state platform SECOP, a key instrument to manage projects for government entities. As a contribution to knowledge, a process diagram is presented showing the different stages that take place during a contracting modality with the state, with special emphasis on the contractual stage where the works are executed; additionally, conclusions and recommendations are presented for the continuous improvement of the Entity.
