dc.description.abstractEn la obra La vejez de Simone de Beauvoir (1970), se encuentra toda una compilación de estudios referentes a la vejez, desde la intervención histórica, etnológica y filosófica. Donde queda en evidencia que a pesar de ser una etapa del ciclo vital que afectará a los seres humanos con vida, desde el campo filosófico no se le ha dado la atención que requiere. Por tal razón, la filósofa francesa concentra todo un tratado para comprender la vejez dentro del mundo contemporáneo y de las instalaciones de lugares de reposo donde los adultos mayores son abandonados y excluidos por la sociedad. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la vejez y el envejecimiento desde la filosofía de Beauvoir y de los aportes gerontológicos. La vejez es interpretada como la etapa final de la vida. Por lo tanto, el envejecimiento es visto como un proceso evolutivo del ciclo vital que inicia con el nacimiento y finaliza con la muerte. Es por ello que se requieren de unas políticas que se encarguen de promover el cuidado y protección del anciano. Razón por la que se analizarán los artículos 46 y 48 de la Constitución Política de Colombia como una síntesis aplicativa de los planteamientos filosóficos revisados.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the book called “The coming of age” of Simone de Beauvoir (1970), is a whole compilation of studies concerning the old age, from the historical, ethnological and philosophical intervention. Where it is evident that despite being a stage of the life cycle that will affect the human beings alive, from the philosophical field has not been given the attention it requires. For this reason, the French philosopher focus a whole a treatise to understand the old age inside the contemporary world and the facilities of refuge where the elderly is abandoned and excluded from society. This work aims to show the old age and aging from Beauvoir’s philosophy and great advances gerontological. The old age is understood like the final stage of life, and the aging is comprehended like an evolutionary process of the vital cycle, that beginning with the birth and ending with the death. Therefore, some policies for promoting the care and protection of the elderly are required. For this reason, the articles 46 and 48 of the Political Constitution of Colombia will be analyzed as an application synthesis of the philosophical approaches reviewed.
