dc.description.abstractEl propósito de este trabajo es estudiar los conceptos de causalidad y libertad a partir de la obra filosófica de David Hume. Para ello se explicará primero el concepto de causalidad, debido a que el conocimiento es el punto de partida de la filosofía de David Hume y se sustenta mayoritariamente en las relaciones causales que se dan como fundamento de la experiencia. Por su parte, la libertad está implícita en la construcción de algo tan importante como lo es el “yo” y, a su vez, tiene una relación directa con las pasiones que son el apoyo de la moral humeana. Si la causalidad sustenta el conocimiento y las pasiones son el sostén de la moral, entonces es necesario ver cómo un concepto como el de libertad se relaciona en el sistema filosófico de Hume bajo los parámetros deterministas que inducen relaciones de causa y efecto bajo la lupa de la experiencia.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe purpose of this work is to study the concepts of causality and freedom based on the philosophical work of David Hume. To do this, the concept of causality will first be explained, because knowledge is the starting point of David Hume's philosophy and is based mainly on the causal relationships that occur as the foundation of experience; On the other hand, freedom is implicit in the construction of something as important as the “itself” and in turn has a direct relationship with the passions that are the support of Humean morality. If causality supports knowledge and the passions are the support of morality, then it is necessary to see how a concept like freedom is related in Hume's philosophical system under the deterministic parameters that induce cause and effect relationships under the magnifying glass of the experience.
