In this document we study and implement two of the most used algorithms in the processing of ECG signals, the algorithm based on the transformed Wavelet and Pan Tompkins, in order to make an analysis in neonatal electrocardiogram signals Oriented to determine which of the two best detects the heart rate. These algorithms were selected to present a high reliability rate when analyzing the ECG of young adults and older adults with a sensitivity of 98.28% and 99.81 respectively, is important to emphasize that the ECG signals in neonates have particularities with regard to the cardiac signals of adults. The treated data bank contains signs of completely healthy newborns that were taken in the first 24 hours to the first week and month of birth. Each electrocardiogram signal is processed with the two algorithms mentioned to find the heart rate of each record, once you have the data are compared to reference values. By means of a statistical analysis and diagnostic tests It is concluded that it is the Pan Tompkins algorithm that shows a more reliable frequency reading for ECG signals in neonates with a sensitivity of 98.58%.
