dc.description.abstractEn el municipio de sabana de torres se presentan amplias zonas utilizadas para la ganadería; se pueden encontrar fincas altamente tecnificadas y en mayor proporción fincas en incipientes procesos tecnológicos. Las principales limitaciones para el empleo de la IA en el ganado manejado en condiciones pastoriles son fallas en la detección de celos, anestro posparto y pubertad tardía. Aunque es utilizada ampliamente la Inseminación Artificial esta se lleva a cabo detectando celos; Esta situación incide en la dispersión y ampliación del periodo de parición; dificultad en el manejo de los alimentos disponibles de acuerdo con la época del año y las categorías de animales, imposibilitando las prácticas de manejo y comercialización. El objetivo del proyecto fue comparar dos tratamientos de sincronización de celo en bovinos (utilización de un dispositivo intravaginal con progesterona y uso de implante auricular CRESTAR) evaluando sus efectos sobre la presentación de los celos, la fertilidad y evaluar el porcentaje de preñez logrado en IATF con los protocolos de sincronización de celos y ovulaciones. Los resultados obtenidos muestran que la aplicación de la sincronización con los protocolos, facilita la inseminación artificial y por ende el mejoramiento genético debido a que no es necesario observar el celo para que los animales queden gestantes. Además la implementación de los protocolos justifica los costos invertidos y produce una ganancia superior al método de ciclicidad natural. La implementación de la Inseminación Artificial a Tiempo Fijo (IATF), es decir sin la necesidad de detección de celos, mediante el uso del Dispositivo Intravaginal Bovino en combinación con otras hormonas reproductivas, ha permitido incrementar la cantidad de animales incluidos en programas de inseminación artificial dentro de los establecimientos ganaderos.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the municipality of sabana de torres there are spacious areas used for livestock; farms farms highly technified and higher can be found in emerging technological processes. The main limitations to the use of AI in cattle managed under pastoral conditions are failures in the detection, postpartum anoestrus and late puberty. This though it is widely used Artificial insemination is carried out by detecting jealousy; This situation affects the dispersal and expansion of the parturition period; difficulty in the management of available food in accordance with the time of year and the categories of animals, precluding the practices of management and marketing. The objective of the project was to compare two treatments of synchronization of estrus in cattle (using an intravaginal device with progesterone and use of implant handset CRESTAR) evaluating their effects on the presentation of jealousy, fertility and evaluate pregnancy percentage attained in IATF with jealousy and ovulation synchronization protocols. The results show that the application of synchronization protocols, makes artificial insemination and therefore genetic improvement since it is not necessary to observe zeal so that animals are pregnant. In addition the implementation of protocols justify the invested costs and produces a profit superior to the method of cyclicity natural. The implementation of Artificial insemination to fixed time (IATF), i.e. without the need for detection, through the use of the bovine Intravaginal device in combination with other reproductive hormones, has allowed to increase the amount of animals included in programmes of artificial insemination in livestock farms.
