dc.description.abstractDurante el tratamiento quirúrgico de la fractura humeral lesiones nerviosas secundarias han sido descritas entre el 3 a 5% para los nervios axilar, radial musculocutáneo respectivamente El propósito de este estudio fue describir una zona anatómica de riesgo neurovascular para la osteosíntesis con placa anterior de las fracturas simples del tercio medio de la diáfisis humeral en una muestra de especímenes cadavéricos de la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Estudio descriptivo en 40 miembros superiores de especímenes cadavéricos frescos y formolados. se realizó una incisión desde el surco deltopectoral, la cual se avanzó distalmente sobre el borde externo del bíceps braquial con registro cualitativo y cuantitativo nervios axilar, radial, musculocutáneo teniendo como referente morfométrico la diáfisis humeral y el proceso coracoideo. Se realizó osteosíntesis anterior con placas LCP 4.5mm en el tercio medio del humero con fijación de tres tornillos proximales y tres distales. Se describió morfometriamente la ubicación de estas estructuras con la osteosíntesis. El análisis estadístico se realizó teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza de las variables. El humero una longitud de 297,7±13,2 mm. Se encontró en el tercio medio del humero una zona de riesgo para el nervio musculo cutáneo y sus ramas comprendida entre (38,6±3,9 a 78,7±3,3%) de la longitud total de la diáfisis. La descripción de zonas de precaución y zonas de riesgo durante la osteosíntesis con placa LCP anterior de 4.5 mm a partir de una muestra en población latinoamericana establece un parámetro de referencia durante el tratamiento fracturas de diáfisis humeral.
dc.description.abstractenglishDuring the surgical treatment of humeral fractures, secondary nerve injuries have been described in 3 to 5% of the axillary and radial musculocutaneous nerves, respectively. The purpose of this study was to describe an anatomical zone of neurovascular risk for anterior plate osteosynthesis of fractures. simples from the middle third of the humeral diaphysis in a sample of cadaveric specimens from the city of Bucaramanga. Descriptive study in 40 upper limbs of fresh and formolated cadaveric specimens. An incision was made from the deltopectoral groove, which was advanced distally on the outer edge of the brachial biceps with qualitative and quantitative recording of the axillary, radial, and musculocutaneous nerves, taking the humeral diaphysis and the coracoid process as morphometric references. Anterior osteosynthesis was performed with 4.5mm LCP plates in the middle third of the humerus with fixation of three proximal and three distal screws. The location of these structures with osteosynthesis was described morphometrically. Statistical analysis was performed taking into account the nature of the variables. The humerus is 297.7 ± 13.2 mm long. A risk zone for the musculocutaneous nerve and its branches was found in the middle third of the humerus between (38.6 ± 3.9 to 78.7 ± 3.3%) of the total length of the diaphysis. The description of precautionary zones and risk zones during osteosynthesis with an anterior 4.5 mm LCP plate from a sample in the Latin American population establishes a reference parameter during the treatment of humeral shaft fractures.
