Prototipo software para el control de procesos del servicio de ensayo del laboratorio de CROM-MASS de la Universidad Industrial de Santander

Abstract
The Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Laboratory (CROM-MASS) at the Industrial University of Santander is currently facing challenges in managing its processes due to the outdated nature of its information system. This system, developed with obsolete technologies that are over ten years old, presents failures that hinder the control of samples, the generation of work orders and the administration of analyses. In addition, its incompatibility with current equipment and lack of updates have resulted in inefficiencies and outdated information, negatively impacting the quality and speed of the service offered. To address these difficulties, the development of a new prototype is being proposed to optimize the management of laboratory services, offering improved efficiency, security, and scalability. The implemented prototype allowed the management of users, clients, applicants and matrices, as well as the administration of sample reception and work orders generation. It also facilitated the creation of reports, analysis management and the sending of e-mails, thus improving internal and external communication. It was implemented with modern technologies, Angular for the front-end layer, user interface and Spring Boot for the back-end layer, with PostgreSQL as database manager and JasperReports for report generation, among other tools that complemented its correct operation. This will guarantee a modern, adaptable and sustainable system in the long term.
