dc.description.abstractEsta investigación pretende reflexionar acerca de cómo la racionalidad económica neoliberal ha dinamitado la democracia. Es importante comprender este fenómeno si queremos gozar de sociedades democráticas fundadas en la libertad y el libre pensamiento. Sociedades que tengan como base la empatía, el humanismo, la dignidad humana y que se caractericen por sostener y desarrollar imaginarios democráticos más justos e igualitarios. La vida humana no debe estar reducida a garantizar el crecimiento y la competitividad económica. Las sociedades democráticas son muy diversas y por tanto sus fines deben estar más allá de los simples fines económicos. Esta investigación también se propone comprender conceptos como gobernanza, capital humano y neoliberalismo. Conceptos que utilizamos con frecuencia, pero como muchas imprecisiones. El no comprenderlos en profundidad nos lleva también a afectar los sistemas democráticos, pues las democracias tienen un lenguaje propio que las identifica. Esta investigación trata en primer lugar, de la importancia de la democracia y de por qué hay que mantenerla y desarrollarla. En segundo lugar, se aborda la racionalidad económica neoliberal. En este apartado se intenta hablar de las características de la racionalidad económica neoliberal. En tercer lugar, se aborda la relación entre gobernanza y gobierno. En este apartado se intenta demostrar cómo la gobernanza desmantela el Estado y lo transforma en una institución que tiene por propósito garantizar la maximización del capital.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research aims to reflect on how neoliberal economic rationality has dynamited democracy. It is important to understand this phenomenon if we want to enjoy democratic societies founded on freedom and free thought. Societies that are based on empathy, humanism, human dignity and are characterized by sustaining and developing more just and egalitarian democratic imaginations. Human life must not be reduced to guarantee growth and economic competitiveness. Democratic societies are very diverse and therefore their aims must go beyond simple economic ends. This research also aims to understand concepts such as governance, human capital, and neoliberalism. Concepts that we use frequently, but with many inaccuracies. Not understanding them in depth also leads us to affect democratic systems, since democracies have their own language which identifies them. This research deals firstly with the importance of democracy and why it must be maintained and developed. Secondly, the neoliberal economic rationality is addressed. In this section, it is discussed the characteristics of neoliberal economic rationality. Thirdly, the relationship between governance and government is addressed. This section attempts to demonstrate how governance dismantles the State and transforms it into an institution whose purpose is to guarantee the maximization of capital.
