dc.description.abstractenglish | The Problem of Distribution of Plant, is a common industry problem that seeks to establish an optimal configuration, or at least feasible, related to the location of the several departments that make up a plant in its inside, so that objectives are met maximize the closeness between these departments and minimize the cost of transportation of material, taking into account for this, their restrictions. In this project is approached the plant layout problem (FLP, for its acronym in English) single-level with structures (walls and passages), taking into account genetic algorithms. These algorithms are based on the laws of genetics and natural selection and have been used in several problems in which are not found efficient solutions through conventional techniques. Is taken as consideration to the various departments have generally rectangular shapes and unequal areas, at the same way is assumed to the plant have a rectangular shape; the location of the departments within the plant is made from the distribution of departments in variable width columns with fixed aisles within them, like the columns, the vertical hallways are also considered of variable width. Based on the above, from the research and documentation of the problem, is proposed an alternative solution to this problem , according to the characteristics of the plant , based on the formulation and mathematical modeling of a new algorithm and its subsequent programing in the software MATLAB .
