dc.description.abstractLa verdad y la felicidad han representado dos de los problemas filosóficos más importantes que se han trabajado y estudiado a lo largo de la historia, pues el hombre siempre se ha encontrado en la constante búsqueda de la verdad y la felicidad. Es por ello que, en la presente investigación analizaremos la relación que logramos establecer entre los conceptos de verdad, felicidad y Dios que expone San Agustín en su obra Confesiones, ya que Agustín considera que Dios es en esencia la verdad y el mayor deleite del hombre. Es por ello que, en un primer momento analizaremos el concepto de verdad que nos brinda Agustín tomando como base los fundamentos que establece Platón en el mito de la caverna. Seguidamente, analizaremos los dos tipos de felicidad que establece Agustín: la felicidad celestial y la terrena, a partir del mito del carro alado de Platón, pues buscamos establecer la importancia de la voluntad en cada una. Y, por último, estableceremos la relación entre los conceptos de verdad, felicidad y Dios, pues Agustín dice que Dios es la verdad y la felicidad absoluta. Sin embargo, para trascender a Dios se hace necesario que nos sumerjamos en lo más profundo de nuestro interior y nos mantengamos al margen del pecado.
dc.description.abstractenglishTruth and happiness have represented two of the most important philosophical problems that have been worked and studied throughout history, since man has always been in a constant search for truth and happiness. That is why, in this research we will analyze the relationship that we manage to establish between the concepts of truth, happiness and God that St. Augustine exposes in his work Confessions, since Augustine considers that God is in essence the truth and the greatest delight of man. For this reason, we will first analyze the concept of truth that Augustine offers us, taking as a basis the foundations established by Plato in the myth of the cave. Next, we will analyze the two types of happiness that Augustine establishes: heavenly and earthly happiness, based on Plato's myth of the winged chariot, since we seek to establish the importance of the will in each. And finally, we will establish the relationship between the concepts of truth, happiness and God, since Augustine says that God is truth and absolute happiness. However, in order to transcend God, it is necessary that we submerge ourselves in the depths of our innermost being and keep ourselves away from sin.
