Factores asociados a la eleccion de carreras universitarias en alumnos de undecimo grado de colegios oficiales de bucaramanga

| dc.description.abstract | La investigación Factores Asociados a la Elección de Carreras Universitarias en alumnos de undécimo grado de Colegios oficiales de Bucaramanga, se desarrolló con problema y objetivos, sustento teórico, desarrollo metodológico, perfil de los estudiantes aspirantes a ingresar a estudiar una carrera universitaria, análisis de correlación estadística, análisis multivariados, conclusiones y recomendaciones. El marco teórico se abordó desde el estructural funcionalismo, vocación, intereses vocacionales, orientación vocacional, representaciones sociales, correlación trabajo y vocación profesional, y estilos pedagógicos. El enfoque de investigación fue cuantitativa descriptiva y el procedimiento de muestreo utilizado fue del tipo probabilístico estratificado de asignación proporcional. Aplicaron la encuesta 36 estudiantes de la UCC. El universo de estudio fue de 3668 estudiantes, pertenecientes a 118 grupos de undécimo grado, de 28 colegios oficiales en Bucaramanga y la muestra de 478 formularios. En el diseño de la encuesta se tuvieron en cuenta 10 variables dispuestas en 32 preguntas y referidas a: Aspectos relacionados con el establecimiento educativo, información personal, información académica e información relacionada con estudios superiores. Con el análisis de datos se hizo un perfil de los estudiantes, en el cual se describe y explica cada una de las preguntas del formulario, con anexos de cuadros y gráficas. Se encontró correlación de las variables independientes: tipo de institución, nivel de estudio del padre, tiempo libre y además de estudiar trabaja, con la elección de carrera. Hubo correlación de las dos variables independientes, además de estudiar trabaja y tipo de institución con las carreras Ingeniería Mecatrónica, Física, Lengua Castellana y Medicina Veterinaria. También se correlacionaron las dos variables independientes, nivel de estudio del padre y tiempo libre, con la carrera de Filosofía y Letras. Las carreras mas apetecidas en su orden fueron Medicina, Ingeniería de Sistemas, Ingeniería Electrónica, Derecho, Química y Administración de Empresas. | dc.description.abstractenglish | The research associated facts to the choice of higher academic programs in students of eleventh grade of public high schools of Bucaramanga, it was developed with problems and objectives, theoretical support, methodological development, would be a profile of students who are about to start an academic program, analysis of statistic correlation, multiple choice analysis, conclusions and recommendations. The framework was dealt from the functionalist structuralism vocation, vocational interest, vocational guidance, social representation, correlation job and professional and pedagogic style. The scope of the research was quantitative and descriptive and the procedure of sampling used was of probabilistic and stratified type of proportional assignation. 36 students of UCC applied the survey. The total of the study was 3668 students, belonging to 118 groups of eleventh grade of 28 public high schools in Bucaramanga, and the sample of 478 forms. For the design of the survey, 10 variables divided into 32 questions were taken into account and referred to: aspects related to the school, personal information, academic information and higher studies related information. With the analysis of data, a profile of the students was created, in which each one of the questions of the form is described and explained with attached charts and graphics. It was found a correlation between the independent variables: sort of institution, father's level of education, free time and not only does he study but he also works with the choice of the program. There was a correlation between the two independent variables apart from studying he works and sort of institution with the programs: Mechatronic Engineering, Physics, Spanish Language and Veterinarian Medicine. It was also found the two independent variables, father's level of education and spare time with Philosophy and Literature programs. The programs with a higher demand were respectively: Medicine, Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Law, Chemistry and Management.
