dc.description.abstractEsta investigación está motivada por la búsqueda del entendimiento del fenómeno del honor en la sociedad colonial de Girón. Por tal motivo está inscrita dentro de la línea de investigación de la historia social pues tiene por objetivo general hacer una exposición descriptiva de cómo se entendió y se defendió este valor social a partir de los procesos judiciales por irrespetos y desacatos. Desde la información que estos documentos aportaron se redactó de modo descriptivo y analítico lo que significaba la posesión de dicho valor y lo que implicaba su pérdida. Dicho análisis permite construir el proceso social que se creo en torno al honor, representando la significación que tuvo para los individuos la defensa de cualquier ataque a su <<buen nombre>>. Esta investigación da cuenta de que dicho proceso estuvo condicionado por la necesidad de mantener el régimen de jerarquización, de estratificación, en otras palabras el sistema de exclusión. Por ello se muestra como el honor se convirtió en un elemento necesario de proteger para mantener el esquema constituido de respeto y obediencia. Finalmente se concluyó que la justificación real que llevaba a la defensa del honor por vías legales, se sustentaba en la prioridad de preservar a toda costa el orden social y mental que se traducía en privilegios exclusivos para quienes lograban demostrar la existencia y posesión del honor.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis investigation is motivated by the search of the understanding of the phenomenon of the honor in the colonial society of Girón. Of such reason she is in favor enrolled within the line of investigation of social history because it must by general mission make a descriptive exhibition of how it was understood and one defended east social value from the judicial processes by irrespetos and disrespects. From the information that these documents contributed it wrote up of descriptive and analytical way what meant the possession of this value and what it implied its loss. This analysis allows to construct to the process social that I am created around the honor, representing the meaning that had for the individuals the defense of any attack to its good reputation. This investigation gives account of which this process was in favor conditional of the necessity to maintain the hierarchial structuring regime, of stratification, in other words the exclusion system. For that reason one is as the honor became an element necessary to protect to maintain the scheme constituted of respect and obedience. Finally one concluded that the real justification that took to the defense of the honor by legal routes was sustained in the priority at all costs to preserve the social and mental order that was translated in exclusive privileges for those who managed to demonstrate to the existence and possession of the honor.
