dc.description.abstractEn la presente monografía analizamos cómo el dolor puede posibilitar e imposibilitar la existencia humana desde la interpretación de Hans-Georg Gadamer. El dolor, es una perturbación que, por un lado, aísla y, por el otro, es una alerta. Para esto, en un primer momento, expondremos la importancia de la relación entre la filosofía y la medicina desde un breve análisis histórico-filosófico realizado por Gadamer, seguidamente, desarrollaremos las definiciones de los conceptos de salud y enfermedad, donde explicaremos por qué el primero es lo extraño y el segundo lo evidente. En segundo lugar, revisaremos cómo la hermenéutica filosófica de Gadamer se articula con la pregunta sobre el bienestar, también vamos a exponer una crítica a la ciencia moderna y explicaremos en qué consiste el arte de curar. Además, veremos cuál es la función mayéutica que cumple el médico en la relación médico-paciente. En tercer lugar, desarrollaremos la concepción que Gadamer posee del ser humano y en qué reside la misión principal del hombre. Finalmente, explicaremos cómo la vulnerabilidad nos abarca a todos y todas desde la explicación de dos conceptos centrales: cuerpo y dolor.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn this monograph, we analyze how pain can allow and disallow human existence from the perspective of Hans-Georg Gadamer's interpretation. Pain is a disturbance that, on the one hand, isolates, and on the other hand, serves as an alert. To achieve this, in the first instance, we will present the importance of the relationship between philosophy and medicine through a brief historical-philosophical analysis conducted by Gadamer. Subsequently, we will delve into the definitions of the concepts of health and illness, explaining why the former is the unfamiliar and the latter is the evident. Secondly, we will examine how Gadamer's philosophical hermeneutics relates to the question of well-being, offer a critique of modern science, and explain the art of healing. Additionally, we will explore the midwifery function maieutics by the physician in the doctor-patient relationship. In the third part, we will develop Gadamer's conception of the human being and the primary mission of humanity. Finally, we will explain how vulnerability encompasses us all, drawing from the explanation of two central concepts: the body and pain.
