dc.description.abstractEn Colombia la enseñanza en general puede ser considerada como de corte tradicional en donde el profesor es el único conocedor y experto de los contenidos y los alumnos se limitan a ser receptores, poniendo a prueba más que la capacidad de razonamiento, la memoria. De esta realidad no se desmarca el sistema universitario, ni aun en los campos más fecundos para una educación verdaderamente democrática y participativa, como pueden ser la formación en derechos humanos. La educación humanística no solo está relegada a un segundo plano en los procesos de formación técnica y profesional, sino que aun la que se imparte es unidireccional y reproduce las mismas dinámicas sociales de exclusión y verticalidad que pretende combatir. Esta investigación pone de manifiesto las falencias y potencialidades de la Educación en Derechos Humanos en las Unidades Tecnológicas de Santander, realiza un diagnóstico de los formas de enseñanza institucional, a través de la aplicación de instrumentos precisos y previamente validados de investigación en Derechos Humanos, aplicados a los docentes, de la revisión de los documentos fundacionales de la institución y los planes curriculares de las asignaturas dedicadas a formar en derechos humanos. De la misma forma, la investigación indaga en los saberes de los estudiantes y en sus prácticas cotidianas. De esta revisión se colige que existe una tendencia generalizada al aprendizaje memorístico, en desmedro de una formación orientada a la vivencia cotidiana de los derechos humanos. Para superar esta falencia se propone una Educación en Derechos Humanos de carácter holístico, que integre las dimensiones histórico-social, jurídico-doctrinal y práctico-cultural, a través de proyectos pedagógicos que pueden materializarse de diversas formas, encontrando en la asignatura Entorno de los Derechos Humanos el mejor escenario fáctico para la implementación directa de la propuesta, que pretende transitar de la enseñanza de los derechos humanos al aprendizaje vital de los mismos.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn Colombia the education in general can be considered like of a traditional court where the teacher is the only one knowledgeable and expert about the contents and the students are limited themselves to be receptors, testing more than the capacity of reasoning, the memory. Of this reality the university system is not unmarked, not even in the most fecund fields for a truly democratic and participative education, such as formation in human rights. The humanistic education is not only relegated to a background in the technical and professional processes of formation, but even the one that is given is unidirectional and reproduces the same social dynamics of exclusion and uprightness that it tries to attack. This investigation reveals the failings and potentialities of the Education in Human Rights in the Unidades Tecnológicas de Santander, it realizes a diagnosis of the forms of institutional teaching, through the application of precise and previously validated instruments of investigation in Human Rights, applied to the teachers, of the revision of the foundational documents of the institution and the curricular plans of the subjects dedicated to form in Human Rights. In the same way, the research investigates the knowledge of students and their daily practices. From this review it is concluded that there is a general trend towards memory learning, in detriment of a formation orientated to the daily experience of human rights. To overcome this failing it is proposed a holistic human rights education, that integrates the dimensions historical-social, juridical-doctrinal, and practical-cultural, through pedagogical projects that can be materialized in different ways, finding in the subject the environment of the human rights the best factual scene for the direct implementation of the proposal, that pretends to move from the teaching of human rights to the vital learning of them.
