dc.description.abstractenglish | The present research project stipulates the process of obtaining electromyographic (EMG) signals in abduction-adduction, flexion-extension, and internal and external rotation motion of the glenohumeral joint. The main purpose of obtaining data is to train a neural network model to predict, depending on the input data, what type of movement is being generated and, in turn, to find the loads acting on the glenohumeral joint in the previously mentioned movements. Obtaining the electromyographic data was possible thanks to Professor Lusvin Javier Amado Forero, who is in charge of the biomechanics laboratory of the UNAB, the protocol of marker position and data collection was done following the recommendation of the ISB. Several investigations of neural networks for EMG signal classification were the basis for the design of the neural network model, the fundamental steps for this objective were followed, such as data normalization, training data division, testing and validation, and the performance of activities to avoid overfitting. An accuracy of 91.29% was obtained in the prediction of the movements previously described. The joint loads were obtained with the help of opensim software, and it was observed that the maximum load ranged from 30% to 80% of the mass of everyone, coinciding with the Orthoload database.
