dc.description.abstractEste proyecto de investigación evaluó el impacto de diferentes prácticas de manejo y fertilización en la producción y calidad nutricional de maíz y frijol en la provincia de García Rovira, Santander. Se compararon dos sistemas de cultivo: tradicional y tecnificado. Los datos de rendimiento y nutrición indicaron que el sistema tecnificado, que consistía en una preparación más detallada del suelo, fertilización balanceada y un control más riguroso de plagas y enfermedades que el sistema tradicional, dio como resultado un aumento significativo en el rendimiento y contenido de nutrientes de ambos cultivos. En segundo lugar, un análisis económico mostró que el sistema tecnificado era sostenible a largo plazo. Estos resultados enfatizan la necesidad de prácticas agrícolas sostenibles para mejorar el rendimiento de los cultivos y su calidad, promoviendo finalmente la seguridad alimentaria y el desarrollo rural en la región. Este estudio pretende empoderar en gran medida a los agricultores rurales en la aplicación de prácticas sostenibles que permitan obtener mejores resultados.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research project evaluated the impact of different management and fertilization practices on the production and nutritional quality of corn and beans in the province of García Rovira, Santander. Two cropping systems were compared: traditional and technified. Yield and nutritional data indicated that the technified system, which consisted of more detailed soil preparation, balanced fertilization, and more rigorous pest and disease control than the traditional system, resulted in a significant increase in yield and nutrient content of both crops. Second, an economic analysis showed that the technified system was sustainable in the long term. These results emphasize the need for sustainable agricultural practices to improve crop yield and quality, ultimately promoting food security and rural development in the region. This study aims to greatly empower rural farmers in the application of sustainable practices that will lead to better results.
