Propuesta de diseno de distribucion de planta de las lineas de envasado en la fabrica de lubricantes terpel, fundamentada en la herramienta de simulacion promodel

| dc.description.abstract | La organización Terpel se encuentra en un proceso de expansión muy agresivo que tiene dentro de sus objetivos principales a largo plazo dominar el mercado nacional de lubricantes. La razón principal para la realización de este trabajo fue la necesidad de independizar dos líneas de envasado que comparten la mayoría de sus recursos en la fábrica de lubricantes Terpel S.A. las cuales funcionan en una bodega junto con otra línea de envasado y redistribuir las 3 líneas resultantes en el espacio con que se cuenta respondiendo a las expectativas de crecimiento de la empresa. Las condiciones fundamentales para la realización del proyecto establecían que la alternativa de redistribución planteada debía aumentar la capacidad de producción mensual, garantizar un proceso fluido, reducir el tiempo de respuesta al cliente y afectar lo menos posible los demás procesos de la fábrica. Cada una de las líneas actuales y de las alternativas planteadas consideradas como viables para solucionar el problema de estudio fueron simuladas en Promodel, herramienta de gran utilidad para la representación de modelos reales y la toma de decisiones. Para la selección de la mejor alternativa de distribución de planta fue necesaria además de la simulación, la evaluación de las ventajas y desventajas que cada posibilidad ofrecía con base en unos factores claves determinados a partir del análisis del impacto o traumatismo causado por una redistribución de personas, equipos y procedimientos en la fábrica. La alternativa seleccionada para redistribuir las líneas de envasado fue la mejor calificada deacuerdo a la evaluación realizada a cada uno de los factores definidos y a los resultados arrojados por los modelos de computador utilizando el software mencionado. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The Terpel organization is developing a very aggressive process of expansion that has among the main objectives in the large time to dominate the national market of lubricant oils. the main reason to carry out this project of degree was the necessity to separate two packed lines that was sharing almost all its resources in a cellar of the factory of lubricant. in the same cellar, the lines are beside one more packed line and the principal problem was how to redistributing the three packed lines on the available area, reaching the goals of growth of the organization. the fundamental conditions for the realization of the project established that the alternative of outlined redistribution should increase the capacity of monthly production, to guarantee a flowing process, to reduce the time of answer to the client and to affect the less possible the other processes of the factory. each one of the current lines and of the outlined alternatives considered as viable to solve the study problem they were simulated in Promodel, tool of great utility for the representation of real models and the taking of decisions. for the selection of the best alternative of plant distribution it was necessary besides the simulation, the evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages that each possibility offered with base in some key factors determined after of the analysis of the impact or traumatism caused by a redistribution of people, machines and procedures in the factory. the alternative selected to redistribute the packed lines was the best qualified with base in the evaluation carried out to each one of the defined factors and the results hurtled by the computer models using the mentioned software. | |
