dc.description.abstractLa exploración de Hidrocarburos juega un papel importante en el entendimiento geológico y en el desarrollo de nuestro país, brindándonos gran cantidad de información de todo tipo, ya sea información sísmica, registros de pozo, muestras de roca, entre otros. Para Geopark, empresa que brindo la información, es de suma importancia poder integrar toda la información disponible, con el fin de entender las zonas en las que operan, como se conectan sus pozos e identificar futuras oportunidades. El propósito de este proyecto consistió en ampliar el conocimiento geológico en las principales formaciones reservorio de la zona, entender cómo se encuentran distribuidas y como se correlacionan entre sí. Para lograrlo, se hizo una revisión de la información pre-perforación y post-perforación para 8 pozos, tratando de entender que era lo que se buscaba y que se encontró. Adicional, a partir de los registros de pozo y con el volumen sísmico de la zona, se realizó una interpretación sísmica de las Formaciones de interés junto con diferentes correlaciones de Pozo. La integración de toda esta información nos da como resultado un nuevo modelo geológico de la zona, con una gran complejidad estructural y estratigráfica, relacionada a la compleja historia evolutiva de la cuenca de los Llanos orientales, dando una posible respuesta a el porque algunos pozos fallaron, y también porque fueron casos de éxito.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe exploration of hydrocarbons plays an important role in geological understanding and in the development of our country, providing us with a vast amount of all kinds of information, including seismic data, well logs, rock samples, among others. For Geopark, the company that provided the information, it is of utmost importance to integrate all available data in order to understand the areas in which they operate, how their wells are connected, and identify future opportunities. The purpose of this project was to expand geological knowledge of the main reservoir formations in the area, understand how they are distributed, and how they correlate with each other. To achieve this, a review of pre-drilling and post-drilling information for 8 wells was conducted, trying to understand what was being targeted and what was found. Additionally, based on the well logs and seismic volume for the area, a seismic interpretation of the formations of interest was carried out, along with different well correlations. The integration of all this information resulted in a new geological model for the area, with significant structural and stratigraphic complexity, related to the complex evolutionary history of the Llanos basin, providing a possible explanation for why some wells failed and why others were successful.
