dc.description.abstractLa Escuela de Historia de la Universidad Industrial de Santander actualmente evidencia deficiencias en la aplicación de las leyes, normas y decretos dispuestos por el gobierno nacional y el Archivo General de la Nación, diseñados para garantizar el funcionamiento de los diferentes procesos que implica la gestión documental y la adecuada organización de los documentos en cada una de las fases de su ciclo vital siendo el Archivo Central, el Archivo de Gestión y el Archivo Histórico. Ante esto, surgió la necesidad de actualizar la Tabla de Retención Documental para definir las series y subseries documentales con sus correspondientes tipos documentales, estableciendo el tiempo, formato y disposición final de los documentos. En ese sentido el trabajo identifica y atiende los factores que están afectando la correcta aplicación del instrumento en tanto que es deber velar por la correcta ejecución de las prácticas archivísticas institucionales y con ello fomentar la cultura archivística en la región y en la institución dado al carácter formativo del pregrado en Historia y Archivística que se ofrece, y así lograr que la ciudadanía en general interiorice el valor del patrimonio documental como evidencia histórica. La metodología empleada responde a los principios de la disciplina archivística tanto en el campo teórico como practico, aspectos metodológicos que dan lugar al conveniente desarrollo de los objetivos de la propuesta que tienen como fin la mejora del funcionamiento administrativo y la garantía de conservación del patrimonio documental resguardado en la Escuela de Historia de la Universidad Industrial de Santander.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Faculty of History of the Industrial University of Santander currently presents deficiencies in the application of laws, regulations and decrees organized by the national government and the General Archive of the Nation, destined to guarantee the operation of the different processes involved in the management documentation and the adequate organization of the documents in each of the phases of its life cycle being the Central Archive, the Management Archive and the Historical Archive. In view of Due to this, the need arose to update the Documentary Retention Table to define documentary series and subseries with their corresponding documentary types, establishing the time, format and final disposition of the documents. In that sense the work identifies and addresses the factors that are affecting the correct application of the instrument since it is a duty to ensure the correct execution of the practices institutional archives and thereby promote archival culture in the region and in the institution given the formative nature of the undergraduate in History and Archives that is offers, and thus ensure that the general public internalize the value of heritage The documentary as historical testimony. The methodology used responds to the principles of the archival discipline both in the theoretical and practical fields, aspects methodologies that lead to the appropriate development of the objectives of the proposal whose purpose is to improve administrative functioning and guarantee conservation of the documentary heritage housed in the School of History of the Industrial University of Santander.
