dc.description.abstractEste trabajo presenta una investigación cualitativa con análisis temático que, expone las situaciones atravesadas por la población adulta mayor en el marco de la migración, teniendo como objetivo comprender el impacto del proceso migratorio en la vida de la población mayor venezolana localizada en el municipio de Bucaramanga-Colombia. Los resultados resaltaron la compleja interacción en la vida de la población adulta mayor con su nuevo entorno. Desarrollando los temas y categorías micro y macro sobre sus experiencias de vida particulares, donde se destacó el duelo migratorio a partir del abandono de su tierra; enfatizando que es allí donde permanecen las raíces de su identidad. Estos elementos entraron en relación a su vez, con la adaptación al nuevo contexto ofrecido por la ciudad receptora, puesto que se hallaron distintos factores que influyeron sobre sus dinámicas cotidianas como personas mayores migrantes, considerados, además, población vulnerable, entre aquellos factores se encuentran: salud, economía, institucionalidad y relaciones interpersonales. Finalmente, sus experiencias adquirieron valor sobre las ideaciones de retorno a su país de origen.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis work presents qualitative research with thematic analysis that exposes the situations experienced by the elderly population in the context of migration, with the objective of understanding the impact of the migratory process on the life of the elderly Venezuelan population located in the municipality of Bucaramanga. -Colombia. The results highlighted the complex interaction in the life of the older adult population with their new environment. Developing micro and macro themes and categories about their life experiences, where migratory grief from the abandonment of their land stood out; emphasizing that it is there where the roots of their identity remain. These elements were in turn related to the adaptation to the new context offered by the receiving city, since different factors were found that influenced their daily dynamics as elderly migrant people, also considered a vulnerable population, among those factors are: health, economy, institutionality and interpersonal relations. Finally, their experiences gained value over the ideas of returning to their country of origin.
