dc.description.abstractenglish | The project focused on the design, construction, and evaluation of a robotic hexapod, with the primary aim of assessing its ability to traverse and rotate across various surfaces. The hexapod, primarily made of PLA, possesses specific dimensions that ensure the appropriate housing of all its electrical components, including an Arduino Mega and a Bluetooth unit that facilitates remote control via a mobile device. To gauge the hexapod's performance on different terrains, tests were conducted on three distinct surfaces: sand, grass, and stones. Through ANOVA analysis, the objective was to ascertain significant differences in the robot's locomotion and rotation times across these terrains. Results revealed no significant disparities in the hexapod's performance among the tested surfaces, with consistent locomotion times and comparable variability across all trials. In conclusion, the project has successfully designed a hexapod that demonstrates a remarkable adaptability to diverse surfaces, positioning it as a versatile tool for various applications. This advancement marks a significant stride for the DICBOT research group, paving the way for future applications in challenging environments where mobility and adaptability are paramount.
