dc.description.abstractEl español del departamento de Santander es descrito por la tradición dialectal como un subdialecto homogéneo. No obstante, teniendo en cuenta que la lengua no es una entidad estática, investigaciones en curso muestran que esta presunta homogeneidad puede estar impactada por características tanto del espacio euclidiano (geográfico), como del social y el perceptual. Parece que una consecuencia del impacto de factores espaciales en el habla de esta zona dialectal es la existencia de una mayor distinción lingüística entre las hablas regionales y el núcleo dialectal y capital del departamento, Bucaramanga. Esta investigación estudia la variabilidad alofónica de /s/ en Bucaramanga, Málaga y Vélez. Se tiene en cuenta la evolución de la dialectología tradicional hasta Por medio de un análisis cualitativo se describen los rasgos y distinciones de /s/ en dichas zonas. Los resultados expresan la propensión de Málaga a la alternancia de /s/ sibilante y alófonos aspirados. Por su parte, Vélez tiende a la preservación de /s/. Y, Bucaramanga ofrece mayor variabilidad alofónica, se observa preservación, aspiración parcial y completa, propagación de la aspiración y africación de /s/. Se argumenta que factores vinculados al espacio euclidiano, social y perceptual afectan la alofonía presente en las áreas dialectales escogidas.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe Spanish of the department of Santander is described by the dialectal tradition as a homogeneous subdialect. However, considering that language is not a static entity, ongoing research shows that this alleged homogeneity may be impacted by characteristics of both Euclidean (geographical) space, social and perceptual. It seems that a consequence of the impact of spatial factors in the speech of this dialectal area is the existence of a greater linguistic distinction between the regional spoken and the dialectal nucleus and capital of the department, Bucaramanga. This research studies allophonic variability of /s/ in Bucaramanga, Malaga and Velez. The evolution of the traditional dialectology is taken into account until By means of a qualitative analysis the traits and distinctions of /s/ in these zones are described. The results express the propensity of Malaga to alternate /s/ wheezing and aspirated allophones. Meanwhile, Velez tends to preserve /s/. And, Bucaramanga offers greater allophonic variability, preservation is observed, partial and complete aspiration, propagation of aspiration and africation of /s/. It is argued that factors linked to Euclidean, social and perceptual space affect the allophony present in the chosen dialectal areas.
