dc.description.abstractenglish | The negative effect caused by the overpopulation and accumulation of plastic waste in the environment is a determinant factor to improve the development and application of tertiary recycling strategies. Most of the time this techniques, the demand of high electrical energy consumption carries the formation of polluting gases besides some toxic waste. Therefore, the purpose of this investigation paper is to analyze what kind of products it gets through to implement a catalytic oxidation with Ruthenium methodology on common plastic waste mostly compound by Polyethylene terephthalate. The analysis results obtained through instrumental laboratory techniques it could get acids composed by carboxyl functional groups such as Terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, oxalic acid among others, also we can quiring even though a carbon dioxide as a reaction result. Finally it develops a balance of mass for the reaction during which it achieves to quantify the obtained results. On this way it can be noticed the influence that has the solvents during reaction and establish its effectiveness in polymer degradation. * Chemical
