dc.description.abstractSe estableció una metodología para evaluar el desempeño de un tratamiento superficial tipo sello de arena – bitumen, cuando es sometido al paso continuo de carga producida por el tránsito de la vía. Se fabricaron grupos de sellos de arena, un subgrupo ligado con emulsión asfáltica y el otro con un ligante obtenido a partir de lodos aceitosos (MBL). Diferentes dosificaciones de ligante y arena fueron aplicadas con el propósito de observar la influencia del contenido del ligante en el desempeño de la capa de tratamiento. La metodología llevada a cabo definió un proceso para la fabricación del sello en campo que incluyó el paso a paso para la aplicación de los materiales, el acomodamiento del agregado y el curado, además de evaluar la evolución de la macrotextura a través de la ejecución del ensayo de la mancha de arena. Finalmente, el desempeño evaluado en un entorno de laboratorio para algunas dosificaciones es comparado con el obtenido en los sellos expuestos a condiciones de campo.
dc.description.abstractenglishA methodology was established to evaluate the performance of a sand-bitumen seal type surface treatment, when it is subjected to the continuous passage of load produced by the traffic of the road. Groups of sand stamps were made, one subgroup bound with asphalt emulsion and the other with a binder obtained from oily sludge (MBL). Different dosages of binder and sand were applied in order to observe the influence of binder content on the performance of the treatment layer. The methodology carried out defined a process for the manufacture of the stamp in the field that included the step by step for the application of materials, compaction and curing, in addition to selecting the parameter of the macrotexture as a reference to evaluate the evolution of the depth preserved through the execution of the sand slick test. Finally, the performance evaluated in a laboratory environment for some dosages is compared with that obtained in seals exposed to real field conditions.
