Ha sido una de las discusiones más antiguas de la filosofía que nace a partir de la doctrina socrática en la época antigua, la cual sigue Platón y 782 años después en el Medioevo San Agustín de Hipona en su obra Confesiones, sintiendo la necesidad de relatar sus experiencias, plasma en un libro sus memorias a manera de autobiografía. En ese sentido el presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar el concepto de hombre en la obra de San Agustín de Hipona, además porque ha sido parte importante en el recorrido de la antropología filosófica. This question emerged out of the Socratic doctrine in ancient times, which Plato followed and Saint Augustine of Hippo conveyed in his work the fiConfessionsfl in the Middle Ages, Augustine wrote this work based on the need to tell his experiences as an autobiography. In this regard, the purpose of this project is to analyze the concept of man in the work of St. Augustine of Hippo because it has been an important piece in the philosophical anthropology. In order to develop the main objective of this research paper, this has been divided into three chapters structured according to the natural constitution of man. First of all, the concept of soul will be addressed by remarking similar principles in the dialogue of Timaeus by Plato and the Confessions of Saint Augustine.
