dc.descriptionResumenEn este artículo se pretende mostrar el proceso mediante el cual se fue configurando una región muy particular de la nación colombiana, como es la del Magdalena Medio. Para ello se comienza por criticar la relación entre la categoría región y la noción de Estado-nación, intentando superar ciertas posiciones teóricas dualistas- "los de adentro y los de afuera" – y verla más bien como un proceso histórico dinámico y conflictivo total, en el que es posible comprender con más claridad la conformación de una región específica.es-ES
dc.descriptionSummaryThis article tries to show the process through which a very particular region of the Colombian nation, the Magdalena Medio, acquired its configuration. For this purpose it begins criticizing the relationship between the region category and the state-nation concept, and attempting to surpass some dual –theorethical positions- "the insiders and the outsiders"-; the article looks at that relationship like a conflicting and historical total process, in which it is posible to understand the conformation of a specific region. en-US
