dc.description.abstractCon el objetivo de realizar la propuesta del laboratorio de estructuras de la Universidad Industrial de Santander acorde a las necesidades de docencia e investigación de los programas de la Escuela de Ingeniería Civil y a su proyecciones al año 2030, incluyendo la creación del doctorado, se realizó una investigación de los distintos tipos de ensayos estructurales, equipos existentes y laboratorios estructurales referentes nacionales e internacionales, esto con el fin de identificar el alcance de unas instalaciones óptimas, comparándolo con el laboratorio actual de la universidad y estableciendo un plan integral de mejora y rehabilitación según lo identificado. Esto se complementó con una entrevista desarrollada a usuarios frecuentes, que permitiera establecer un enfoque objetivo para este plan. Como resultado, se obtuvo un plan de adquisición de equipos con sus especificaciones y cotizaciones, identificación de algunas mejoras de infraestructura y recomendaciones de uso. Todo ello se consolidó en un catálogo acompañado de la ilustración mediante un modelado 3D.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn order to develop a proposal for the structural laboratory of the Universidad Industrial de Santander in accordance with the teaching and research needs of the Civil Engineering School programs and their projections for the year 2030, including the creation of a doctoral program, an investigation was conducted into the various types of structural tests, existing equipment, and national and international reference structural laboratories. This was done to identify the scope of optimal facilities, comparing it with the university's current laboratory and establishing a comprehensive plan for improvement and rehabilitation based on the findings. This was complemented by interviews with frequent users, aimed at establishing an objective approach for this plan. As a result, a plan for equipment acquisition with specifications and quotations was obtained, along with the identification of some infrastructure improvements and usage recommendations. All of this was consolidated into a catalog accompanied by illustrations through 3D modeling.
