dc.description.abstractEl 9 de febrero de 1930 Enrique Olaya Herrera, candidato de la fiConcentración Nacionalfl, es electo presidente de Colombia con lo que toca a su fin la llamada hegemonía conservadora. Durante los últimos dos años del régimen conservador se habían producido múltiples acontecimientos que impactaban de forma diferenciada a la sociedad y al gobierno. La crisis económica, con sus efectos sobre el crédito, las obras públicas y el empleo; las agitaciones políticas emprendidas por los líderes socialistas, que llevaron a los tristemente recordados hechos de Ciénaga en 1928 y de Bogotá en 1929; las divisiones al interior del conservatismo respecto a la sucesión presidencial y la inconformidad de las élites políticas con el gobierno, fueron poderosos factores que llevaron al derrumbe de la fihegemonía conservadorafl. Este trabajo se inserta en este contexto e intenta rastrear las estrategias a través de las cuales un actor político local, el diario fiLa Vanguardia Liberalfl intervino en el escenario político, no solo desde la oposición al gobierno conservador, sino también en el contexto de la candidatura de la ficoncentración nacionalfl. Se pretende mostrar, apoyados en la conceptualización planteada por Carl Schmitt respecto al concepto de filo políticofl, que la acción política del periódico se orientó fundamentalmente a imponer mediante sus publicaciones la distinción amigo/enemigo a la sociedad, recurriendo para ello a un conjunto de estrategias, elegidas de forma deliberada y aplicadas de forma recurrente contra diferentes actores políticos. Por otra parte se pretende describir las relaciones construidas entre el diario liberal a nivel local y las directivas departamentales y nacionales del Partido Liberal, haciendo énfasis en el modo como el diario se confrontó con las directivas del partido y los argumentos sobre los cuales fundó tal confrontación.
dc.description.abstractenglishOn february 9 Enrique Olaya Herrera, candidate of the fiNational Meetingfl, is elected as the president of Colombia, which comes to the end of the Conservative hegemony. During the last two years, the conservative regime had produced many events that impacted in different ways to society and government. The economic crisis, with its effects on credit, public works and employment; the political upheavals initiated by the socialist leaders and led to the sadly remembered facts of Ciénaga in 1928 and Bogotá in 1929; the divisions within the Conservative regarding the presidential succession, and the political elite disagreement with the government, were powerful factors that led to the collapse of the "conservative hegemony". This work is in this context and explore the strategies through which a local political actor, the newspaper fiLa Vanguardia Liberal " intervened in the political scenario, not only from the opposition to the Conservative government, but also in the context of candidature of the "National Concentration". Is pretended to show, supported on the conceptualization proposed by Carl Schmitt of the concept of "politics", that the newspaper's political action was directed primarily to impose, through its publications, the distinction friend / enemy to society, thus using a set strategies, chosen deliberately and recurrently applied against various political actors. On the other hand is pretended to describe the built relationships between the liberal newspaper on the local ground, and the national and departmental directives of the Liberal Party, with emphasis on the way the newspaper confronted the Party´s directives and the grounds on which was based that confrontation
