dc.description.abstract	La movilidad urbana ofrece una perspectiva de los individuos en su realidad socioeconómica y espacial (edad, género, categoría social laboral) más amplia que el término de transporte, es por esto que al tratar la movilidad y no el transporte, se centra la problemática en la persona y su entorno, y no únicamente en su desplazamiento. En este trabajo de investigación se presenta el análisis de cómo influye la percepción de los habitantes del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga al momento de escoger su modo de transporte principal para movilizarse dentro del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga mediante una base de datos obtenida previamente de encuestas aplicadas en investigaciones anteriores realizadas en proyectos de grado de la Escuela de Ingeniería Civil de la Universidad Industrial de Santander en el año 2022. La información recopilada permitió identificar cómo influye la percepción de los habitantes del área metropolitana de Bucaramanga al momento de elegir el modo de transporte principal para movilizarse el transporte público, transporte informal y transporte privado, identificando variables como el tiempo de espera, el tiempo de viaje, calidad, seguridad, comodidad. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos se tuvo que cuando los coeficientes de los atributos modales, presentan signo negativo sugiere que en la medida en que el tiempo de espera, el tiempo de viaje o la tarifa de una alternativa aumentan, su utilidad percibida disminuye y, en consecuencia, se reduce su probabilidad de ser elegida. Por otro lado, si el transporte público presentara atributos iguales al transporte informal, los usuarios encontrarían más atractiva elegir como modo principal de transporte el público.
dc.description.abstractenglish	Urban mobility offers a broader perspective of individuals in their socioeconomic and spatial reality (age, gender, social and labor category) than the term of transportation, which is why when dealing with mobility and not transport, the problem is focused on the person and their environment, and not only on their displacement. This research work presents the analysis of how the perception of the inhabitants of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga influences when choosing their primary mode of transportation to move within the metro area of Bucaramanga through a database previously obtained from surveys applied in previous research conducted in degree projects of the School of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Industrial de Santander in the year 2022. The information collected allowed identifying how the perception of the inhabitants of the metropolitan area of Bucaramanga influences when choosing the primary mode of transportation to mobilize public transportation, informal transportation, and private transportation, identifying variables such as waiting time, travel time, quality, safety, and comfort. Among the results obtained, it was found that when the coefficients of the modal attributes present a negative sign, it suggests that to the extent that the waiting time, travel time, or fare of an alternative increases, its perceived usefulness decreases and, consequently, its probability of being chosen is reduced. On the other hand, if public transport had the same attributes as informal transport, users would find it more attractive to choose public transport as their primary mode.
