dc.description.abstractEl grupo de dolor y cuidado paliativo del Hospital Internacional de Colombia desarrolló un protocolo de atención para los pacientes que se encuentran en la etapa de final de vida, el CÓDIGO LILA, cuyo objetivo es organizar la respuesta del grupo clínico y administrativo ante el duelo, garantizando un cuidado humanizado en las últimas horas de vida de los pacientes. Se aplicó una traducción oficial de la versión para el cuidador del cuestionario CANHELP-Lite con el fin de evaluar la percepción y la satisfacción de la familia de los pacientes terminales frente las estrategias empleadas en el código lila y al mismo tiempo evaluar el rendimiento del instrumento. Se desarrolló un estudio de corte transversal entre los familiares de pacientes código lila en las dos sedes del Hospital Internacional de Colombia. Se incluyeron en el estudio cuidadores de 75 pacientes. A todos se les aplicó el instrumento CANHELP - Lite. El nivel general de satisfacción fue de 91.72. El aspecto del cuidado que tuvo mejor resultado fue el que evaluaba las características de los médicos y enfermeras, y el de menor promedio fue el de la interacción de los familiares en el manejo del paciente. El instrumento CANHELP - Lite, mostro un análisis de consistencia excelente, dado por un valor de alfa de Cronbach de 0.945 y un coeficiente de correlación de Pearson de 0.856 y 0.898 en importancia y satisfacción respectivamente. No se encontró ninguna asociación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables clínicas y demográficas analizadas con el grado de satisfacción general por medio del coeficiente de correlación de Spearman. El cuestionario CANHELP – Lite es una herramienta útil y confiable para medir la satisfacción de los familiares de pacientes en protocolo de fin de vida.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe pain and palliative care group of the Colombia’s International Hospital developed a care protocol for patients who are in the end of life stage, the LILAC CODE, whose objective is to organize the response of the clinical and administrative group to grief, guaranteeing humanized care in the last hours of patients’ lives. An official translation of the version for the caregiver of the CANHELP-Lite questionnaire was applied in order to evaluate the perception and satisfaction of the terminal patients’ family with the strategies used in the lilac code and at the same time evaluate the instrument's performance. A cross-sectional study was developed among the relatives of code lilac patients at the two campus of Colombia’s International Hospital. Caregivers of 75 patients were included in the study. The CANHELP-Lite instrument was applied to all. The general level of satisfaction was 91.72. The aspect of care that had the best result was the one that evaluated the characteristics of the doctors and nurses, and the one with the lowest average was the interaction of family members in the management of the patient. The CANHELP - Lite instrument showed an excellent consistency analysis, given by a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.945 and a Pearson correlation coefficient of 0.856 and 0.898 in importance and satisfaction respectively. No statistically significant association was found between the clinical and demographic variables analyzed with the degree of general satisfaction using the Spearman correlation coefficient. The CANHELP - Lite questionnaire is a useful and reliable tool to measure the satisfaction of relatives of patients in the end-of-life protocol.
