dc.description.abstractenglish | The logistics network design problem approached from the approach of direct and reverse network integration, in order to consolidate closed loop supply chains (CLSC), is the key to face the emerging challenges of the transition of the companies towards the circular economy and sustainable development. This type of integrated network allows greater efficiency and offers advantages in costs and environmental impact during the waste collection, reuse and recycling operation. In this context, this project proposes a direct and inverse integrated logistics network design for the collection of electrical and electronic waste (WEEE), in order to support the strategic level decisions of the country's companies. The configuration of the network is based on the work of Pishvaee, who highlights the novel contribution of the inclusion of hybrid plants for distribution and collection / inspection. The problem of resource allocation and facility openings is solved using a mixed integer linear programming model (MILP) with two objective functions: maximization of total costs and minimization of environmental impact, through the product life cycle assessment methodology. (LCA). For the resolution of the model, a genetic algorithm with priority-based coding, fitness function based on random weights, tournament selection method and segment-based crossover and mutation operators is proposed. To measure the performance of the algorithm, a factorial design of experiments of the form 3 ^ 4 is performed for three problem sizes (small, medium and large) and a contrast with the multiobjective mimetic algorithm (MOMA) developed by Pishvaee. The results show that, for any size of problem, the best performance of the algorithm is obtained with a combination of 500 iterations and 100 individuals in the initial population. Finally, the contrast test between the GA and the MOMA revealed that the proposed genetic algorithm is inferior in the amount of non-dominated solutions found. This may be due to the intensified search strategies built into the MOMA. However, this difference in search capacity is justified by the execution time savings that the AG presents.
