dc.description.abstractEn el municipio de Barbosa Santander se pretende dar apertura a una cooperativa de productores de maíz hibrido amarillo por medio de la cual buscamos unir esfuerzos que permita ampliar la oferta de maíz amarillo teniendo en cuenta que actualmente existe una demanda insatisfecha dado que la oferta no alcanza a cubrirla, porque en el municipio no cuenta con la producción necesaria, debido a ello se importa maíz amarillo, por esta razón mediante la cooperativa buscamos abastecer el mercado existente actualmente y así reducir las importaciones de maíz amarillo. En la introducción se describe las temáticas del desarrollo del presente trabajo, enfocando en la escases de maíz amarillo que actualmente hay en el municipio de Barbosa Santander y en el sector agrícola, el cual carece de infraestructura (acopio, secamiento, almacenamiento y transformación), la cooperativa pretende dar solución a esta problemática buscando aumentar la productividad de dicho cereal. Así mismo apoyar a los productores. Desde el punto de vista de la evaluación económica dieron como resultado un VPN de $63.656.562 y TIR del10 %, anual siendo positivo, denotando la viabilidad del proyecto, la recuperación de la inversión se da en el tercer año, concluyendo que el proyecto es viable. *
