dc.description.abstractCon el fin de caracterizar los lineamientos transversales ubicados en el bloque colgante de la Falla del Suárez en el margen oeste de la Cordillera Oriental, se realizó la cartografía actualizada a escala 1:25.000 del área de campo, teniendo en cuenta la nueva nomenclatura propuesta por Etayo (1989) para las unidades litoestratigráficas del Jurásico Cretácico Inferior. Además se realizó una columna detallada y una generalizada de la zona en la sección Betulia Zapatoca en donde se midieron y describieron 716 m de los últimos niveles de la Formación Angostura del Río Lebrija, 258 m de la Formación Los Santos, 36 m de la Formación Cumbre y 116 m de los niveles inferiores de la Formación Rosablanca. La interpretación de un corte geológico regional (W-E) entre el margen oriental del Valle Medio del Magdalena y la zona de estudio, con el cual se definieron dos dominos estructurales; el primero denominado dominio occidental, caracterizado por presentar una vergencia al oeste y estilo estructural de tipo Thin- Skinned, y el dominio oriental donde predominan fallas con vergencia al este y un estilo estructural de tipo Thick- Skinned. Los cortes locales muestran cambios en la deformación al norte y sur de las zonas transversales y la cinemática que tienen estos lineamientos.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn order to characterize the transverse lineaments located in the hanging wall of the Suárez Fault on the West margin of the Eastern Cordillera, the updated cartographyc was made a scale 1:25.000 of the área, given the new proposed nomenclature by Etayo (1989) for the Jurassic - Lower Cretaceous lithostratigraphic units. Also a detailed and generalized column were made of the zone of Betulia - Zapatoca section where we measured and described 716 meters of the last levels of the Angostura del Rio Lebrija Formation, 258 meters of the Los Santos Formation, 36 meters of the Cumbre Formation and 116 meters of the lowers levels of the Rosablanca Formation. The interpretation of a regional geological section (W-E) between the oriental margin of the Middle Magdalena Valley and the study area, with which two structural domains were defined, the first one called Western domain, characterized by presenting a West vergence and structural style dominated by Thin Skinned deformation type and the Oriental domain, where predominated faults with East vergence and structural style dominated by Thick Skinned deformation type. The five locals cross-sections show changes in the deformation from north to south of the transverse zones and the kinematics that have these lineaments
