dc.description.abstractLa madre de Pausanias (1828), del escritor colombiano Luís Vargas Tejada, es una tragedia que evidencia el sufrimiento de una madre espartana al ver que su hijo Pausanias ha traicionado a la patria. La obra retoma la vida de Pausanias un héroe espartano que decide hacer alianza con le rey Jerjes de Persia para alcanzar por sus propios medios el poder sin importar la traición que ello implicaba. La historia se desarrolla en una escena única en la cual sólo interviene Timódea, la madre. Esta obra fue escrita por un joven intelectual y de ideas liberales de la primera mitad del siglo XIX, Vargas Tejada escribe esta tragedia para compararla con la vida de Bolívar, un hombre que tras haber sido el gestor del movimiento independentista decide proclamarse como presidente vitalicio y empezar una dictadura. Bajo el poder de las letras, Vargas Tejada incitó a varios de sus compañeros liberales para acabar con la vida del Libertador bajo la proclama: ¡Abajo el tirano! ¡Viva la Libertad! En este trabajo se encuentran los espacios de experiencia tanto del autor como de la obra para que con ello se de evidencia del momento histórico en el cual se produce la obra. También se hace un acercamiento semiótico a un fragmento de la tragedia, se plantea sobre qué sentimiento se funda la patria y se hace un paralelo entre la hija fiel que ama la patria y el hijo infiel que la traiciona, esto para hablar de la comprensión del texto. Finalmente se hace un acercamiento a la explicación e interpretación del texto para hallar las postulaciones del Estado Œ Nación dentro de la obra.
dc.description.abstractenglishLa madre de Pausanias (1828), of the Colombian writer Luís Vargas Tejada, is one tragedy which shows the suffering of a Spartan mother when seeing that his son, Pausanias, has betrayed to the mother country. The work retakes the life of Pausanias a Spartan hero who decides to make alliance with the king Jerjes of Persia to reach about his own means the power without concerning the treason that it implied. The story is developed in a unique scene in which Timódea, the mother only takes part. This work was written by an intellectual young with liberal ideas of the first half of the 19th century. Vargas Tejada writes this tragedy to compare it with the life of Bolívar, a man who at first was the manager of the independence movement and then decided to proclaim himself as vital president to begin a dictatorship. Under the power of the letters, Vargas Tejada urged several of their liberal companions to end the life of the Liberator. The proclamation was: Down the tyrant! The Freedom lives! In this work, it will be found the experience spaces of the author and the work, so that, it will evidence the historical moment at which the work takes place. Also, it will be a semiotic approach of a fragment of the tragedy. It will consider on which feeling is based the mother country and a parallel between the faithful daughter who loves the mother country and the unfaithful son who betrays it. This is done to talk about the comprehension of the text. Finally, it will be an approach to the explanation and interpretation of the text to find the postulations of the State - Nation within the work
