dc.description.abstractenglish | Currently, the detection of the supermassive black hole inside the M87 galaxy gave the first real image of these compact bodies, which was possible by directly measuring the shadow it generates, providing further evidence of general relativity in the field regime strong. In the present work, the PUNCH code was constructed, which allows simulating the behavior of photons in the vicinity of a stationary and axially symmetrical black hole, in order to simulate the shadow and the gravitational lens that it produces. For its calibration, the spherical orbits theory was developed around a Kerr black hole, from which an analytical expression was deduced that allowed to delimit the shadow’s edge. When comparing the numerical and theoretical results, a decrease in the size of the numerical shadow was found, because the analytical solution is calculated at infinity. In addition, a first notion of the geometry of space-time in the vicinity of black holes was obtained through the gravitational lens that they generate. Finally, as a first application of the code, the shadow of a compact body with arbitrary quadrupole mass deformation described by the Qmetric was simulated, where it was observed that from strong values of the deformation parameter, a strong dependence of the initial conditions on the gravitational lens, which suggests a chaotic behavior in the path of the photons.
