dc.description.abstractenglishThe philosophical debate about the body has become indispensable today. This interest starts from liberalism, and its proclamations of individual liberties, autonomy and universal equality; conservatism, and his nostalgia for collective control of bodies; and feminism, and its struggle for the claim of the woman's body. Through them, the conception of the body of the American author Donna Haraway is reconstructed because she understands the need to transcend the body as it has been conceived so far, for the sake of nature and the species that inhabit it. So that in this thesis the positions will be demonstrated in front of the body of liberalism, conservatism and feminism. In turn, the concept of body for Donna Haraway is reconstructed in four moments of his thinking, as follows: i) criticism of science from the masculinized body; ii) the body as a cybernetic organism, the body-machine; iii) situated knowledge of the body, experience about the body as a social reality; and iv) kinship, the conception of the body as a link between differences between species. All this from a qualitative documentary study and within the hermeneutical approach of science. Finally, this work
