dc.description.abstractLa atención y aseguramiento del cuidado de la salud de los pacientes y el personal de instituciones prestadoras de servicios de salud, exige de buenas prácticas de manejo de residuos hospitalarios indispensables para prevenir efectos negativos en la salud. El cuidado del medio ambiente es una prioridad para el Estado, las empresas y la comunidad en general, con prelación desde la prevención. El propósito del presente trabajo es el diseño el Manual para la Gestión Integral de Residuos Hospitalarios y Similares MGIRH Componente Interno para la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos San Gabriel de Socorro. El manual de gestión integral se fundamenta en los estándares del Manual de Procedimientos para la Gestión Integral de Residuos Hospitalarios y Similares de Colombia, normatividad conjunta del Ministerios de Salud y el Ministerio del Medio Ambiente. Teniendo en cuenta la normatividad ambiental vigente, como resultado se obtiene la formulación del compromiso institucional, los elementos técnicos aplicados en los programas, proyectos y actividades para la adecuada gestión interna de los residuos hospitalarios y similares, el plan de contingencia, el plan de seguridad industrial que propenden por mitigar el riesgo derivado de la manipulación de elementos y residuos hospitalarios. Finalmente se presenta la propuesta de un cronograma para la implementación y puesta en marcha del plan para el mejoramiento continuo de la institución.
dc.description.abstractenglishThe attention and assurance of the patients healthcare and the health workers at institutions providing services of health, requires of good practices of handling hospital waste indispensable to prevent negative effects on health. The care of the environment is a priority for the State, the companies and the community in general, with priority from the prevention. The purpose of the present work is the design of the Manual for the Integral Management of Hospital Waste and Similar MGIRH - Internal Component for the San Gabriel de Socorro Intensive Care Unit. The integral management manual had based on the standards of the Manual of Procedures for the Integral Management of Hospital and Similar Residues of Colombia, joint regulations of the Ministries of Health and the Ministry of the Environment. As a result, according to the current environmental regulations, the formulation of the institutional commitment, the technical elements applied in the programs, projects and activities for the adequate internal management of the hospital and similar wastes, the contingency plan, the industrial safety plan that tend to mitigate the derivative risk Of the manipulation of elements and hospital waste. Finally, the proposal for a timetable for the implementation and implementation of the plan for the continuous improvement at the institution had presented.
