dc.description.abstractMediante la modelización numérica por elementos finitos, este proyecto pretende evaluar el comportamiento mecánico e hidráulico de una estructura de pavimento que incluye material granular marginal (MGM). Los MGM pueden proporcionar beneficios ambientales, económicos, paisajísticos y sociales. Para ello, se llevó a cabo la modelización mediante el software GiD y Code-Bright, en una sección transversal típica de corte y relleno donde se encuentra la estructura de pavimento. Este enfoque permitió analizar el comportamiento tensión-deformación y otras características importantes para comprender los resultados relativos al comportamiento de los MGM bajo la aplicación de esfuerzos y otras condiciones como las modificaciones de la presión del agua de poros. Estas simulaciones sugirieron que el software GiD y Code-Bright son de gran apoyo para condicionar el modelo al entorno analizado.
dc.description.abstractenglishThrough finite elements numerical modeling, this project aims to evaluate the mechanical and hydraulic behavior of a pavement structure that includes marginal granular material (MGM). MGMs can provide environmental, economic, landscape, and social benefits. For this purpose, modeling was carried out using the software GiD and Code-Bright, in a typical cut and fill cross-section where the pavement structure is located. This approach allowed the analysis of the stress-strain behavior and other important characteristics to understand the results regarding the MGMs' behavior under the application of stress and other conditions such as modifications of pore water pressure. These simulations suggested that the GiD and Code-Bright software are of great support for conditioning the model to the environment analyzed.
