dc.description.abstractEl análisis cuantitativo al sistema de fracturas es una herramienta para determinar la geometría de las estructuras y los parámetros que describen el fracturamiento como intensidad, densidad y longitud de fractura con el fin de identificar las zonas más favorables para la infiltración y almacenamiento de fluidos en un área en específico. Históricamente en la zona sur de la Mesa de Los Santos ha existido una escasez en el suministro de agua, es por esto que se realiza un estudio geológico cuantitativo enfocado a las estructuras que permiten conocer que tan favorable es una zona al flujo subsuperficial. Para este proyecto, el análisis cuantitativo se realizó en FracPaQ a partir de fotografías de afloramientos. Los resultados son plasmados en mapas de rangos y se relacionan con los atributos geológicos y el análisis preliminar al flujo de fluidos (conectividad y permeabilidad) para obtener las características más importantes que controlan el fracturamiento. Como conclusión se obtiene que las fallas longitudinales NW-SE tienen gran influencia en el arreglo espacial del fracturamiento y su apertura, actuando su trazo como corredor, especialmente al sureste del área de estudio. dc.description.abstractenglishThe quantitative analysis of the fracture system is a tool to determine the geometry of the structures and the parameters that describe the fracturing such as intensity, density and length of fracture in order to identify the most favorable zones for the infiltration and storage of fluids in a specific area. Historically, in Mesa de Los Santos there has been a shortage of water supply, which is why a quantitative geological study is carried out focused on the structures that allow us to know how favorable an area is to subsurface flow. For this study, the quantitative analysis was carried out in FracPaQ from outcrops photographs. The results are captured on range maps showing the study area at the south of La mesa de los santos and are related to the geological attributes and the preliminary fluid flow analysis (connectivity and permeability) to obtain the most important characteristics that control fracturing. As a result, it is concluded that the NW-SE longitudinal faults have a great influence on the spatial arrangement of the fracturing and its aperture, acting as a corridor, especially to the southeast of study area.
