dc.description.abstractEn este trabajo de grado profundiza en el estudio del jazz, explorando sus orígenes históricos, sus complejidades técnicas y los aspectos estilísticos necesarios para su interpretación. El objetivo fundamental de esta investigación fue el de difundir el repertorio de standards a través de un recital solista que destacara el papel del cantante en la expresión e interpretación del jazz. Para llevar a cabo este proyecto, se empleó un enfoque metodológico cualitativo que incluyó la investigación documental para conocer los fundamentos teóricos del jazz y su evolución; así mismo, se utilizó la observación directa al participar en espacios educativos y de difusión del jazz en la ciudad de Bucaramanga. Ya teniendo una claridad sobre los aspectos teórico-prácticos del jazz se propuso un repertorio para el recital, que posteriormente fue analizado y, por último, a través de la sistematización pedagógica, se registró el proceso de estudio y montaje de dicho repertorio. Finalmente, se concluyó que el jazz es un género musical profundamente complejo, que implica un estudio constante para entender y aplicar todos los elementos teórico-prácticos y, así mismo, es necesario que el intérprete de jazz explore su instrumento para construir un lenguaje propio en el desarrollo de la improvisación.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis degree work delves into the study of jazz, exploring its historical origins, its technical complexities and the stylistic aspects necessary for its interpretation. The fundamental objective of this research was to disseminate the repertoire of standards through a solo recital that highlighted the role of the singer in the expression and interpretation of jazz. To carry out this project, a qualitative methodological approach was used that included documentary research to understand the theoretical foundations of jazz and its evolution; Likewise, direct observation was used when participating in educational and jazz dissemination spaces in the city of Bucaramanga. Already having clarity about the theoretical-practical aspects of jazz, a repertoire was proposed for the recital, which was subsequently analyzed and, finally, through pedagogical systematization, the process of studying and assembling said repertoire was recorded. Finally, it was concluded that jazz is a deeply complex musical genre, which implies constant study to understand and apply all the theoretical-practical elements and, likewise, that it is necessary for the jazz performer to explore his instrument to build his own language. in the development of improvisation.
