dc.description.abstractSabiendo que, en la industria de transporte los vehículos son los activos más importantes con los que se cuentan y que sus motores son los que les da vida, siendo estos sus corazones y sistema principal, este trabajo de grado tiene como finalidad estudiar el comportamiento del aceite lubricante de un motor ISUZU AJB1-TC perteneciente a un Chevrolet TURBO NHR modelo 2011 de la empresa Quimicur S.A.S a través de la caracterización de sus propiedades físico-químicas, desarrollando un análisis de aceite lubricante. La implementación de este proyecto parte desde el entendimiento e identificación de las variables y pruebas que conformaran el análisis de aceite lubricante, luego de esto se llevará a cabo el muestreo del aceite basándose en las cantidades necesarias del mismo, frecuencia del cambio y contenido en el cárter, el siguiente paso a seguir es llevar las muestras al laboratorio y realizar las pruebas y procedimientos pertinentes basados en las normas ASTM. Por último, se interpretan los resultados mediante un estudio de tendencia con el fin de determinar la condición del aceite y, por lo tanto, también del equipo; siendo esto información muy útil para prevenir y detectar fallas, aumentando así la confiabilidad y disponibilidad de la maquinaria.
dc.description.abstractenglishHaving the knowledge that in the transportation industry the vehicles are the most important assets and their engines are the ones that give them life, working as a heart and their main system, this project has the purpose of studying the lubricating oil’s behavior of an ISUZU AJB1-TC engine belonging to a Chevrolet TURBO NHR model 2011 of the company Quimicur S.A.S through the characterization of its physical-chemical properties, developing a lubricating oil’s analysis. The project’s implementation starts with the understanding and identification of the variables and tests that will be part of the lubricating oil’s analysis. Then, the oil sampling will be carried out based on the necessary quantities, frequency of the oil’s change, and content in the oil crankcase. The next step, it is to take the samples to the laboratory and perform the relevant tests and procedures based on ASTM standards. Finally, the results are interpreted through a trend study in order to determine the condition of the oil and, therefore, the condition of the equipment; being this a very useful information to prevent and detect failures, increasing the reliability and longevity of the machine.
