dc.description.abstractColombia comenzó a enfrentar la crisis generada por el Covid-10 a inicios de 2020, en la búsqueda de mitigar el impacto y la propagación del virus, los gobierno implementaron medidas restrictivas sobre la movilidad de los ciudadanos y de la actividad económica, dicha situación afecto el empleo y el nivel de ingreso de muchos colombianos, sin embargo, los efectos se dieron de manera diferencia por sector económico y tipo de trabajador, de igual manera, en los distintos territorios del país se presentaron afectaciones diferenciales según su estructura económica y la composición del mercado laboral dentro de cada región. El presente documento evalúa el impacto que tuvo la medida de aislamiento en Bucaramanga y su Área Metropolitana, teniendo en cuenta las condiciones que caracterizan el mercado laboral de la región, como los altos niveles de informalidad y la amplia brecha de género. Para tal objetivo, se elabora la evaluación del impacto del aislamiento preventivo obligatoria que se llevó a cabo durante gran parte del año 2020, sobre los ingresos de los trabajadores de la región, esto por medio de la metodología de diferencia en diferencias, empleando los datos provenientes de la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (GEIH). Los resultados revelan una afectación negativa en los ingresos de los trabajadores que vieron restringida su movilidad respecto a aquellos que estuvieron exentos a la medida, asimismo, se evidencio que los grupos poblaciones más vulnerables, como los trabajadores informales y las mujeres, sufrieron las mayores consecuencias.
dc.description.abstractenglishColombia began to face the crisis generated by Covid-19 at the beginning of 2020, looking to reduce the impact and spread of the virus, governments implemented restrictive measures on the mobility of citizens and economic activity, these affected the employment and income level of many Colombians, however, the effects occurred differently by economic sector and type of worker, in the same way, in the different territories of the country there were differential effects according to their economic structure and the composition of the labor market within each region. This document evaluates the impact of the isolation measure in Bucaramanga and its Metropolitan Area, taking into account the conditions that characterize the labor market in the region, such as the high levels of informality and the wide gender gap. For this purpose, the evaluation of the impact of the mandatory preventive isolation that is carried out during a large part of the year 2020, on the workers income in the region, is elaborated through the difference in differences methodology, using data From the Great Integrated Household Survey (GEIH). The results reveal a negative impact on the workers income who saw their mobility restricted compared to those who were exempt from the measure, similarly, it was shown that the most vulnerable population groups, such as informal workers and women, suffered the greatest consequences.
