dc.description.abstractEn el macizo de Santander al NE del municipio de Guaca se realiza el detalle de la cartografía geológica a escala 1:10000 tomando como principal objetivo identificar las principales estructuras geológicas y la distribución de las rocas sedimentarias correspondientes al Jurásico. La zona carece de estudios cartográficos recientes dado a ello no se evidencia correctamente la distribución de las diferentes formaciones aflorantes, para ella se hizo un trabajo en campo con diferentes puntos de control para determinar los contactos y características litológicas de estas, se hizo una poligonal y a partir de esta se obtuvo el espesor de la Formación Jordán en la zona de estudio es de 498mts. La zona presenta como principal estructura una falla con comportamiento sinestral paralela al rio Sisotá se tiene también un anticlinal cilíndrico en el norte de la zona y un anticlinal tipo chevrón al sur de esta, además los fallamientos de tipos inversos producen el levantamiento de la Formación Bocas en el área, se realizan dos cortes donde se evidencia una estructura tipo pop up indicando una inversión tectónica, donde se detalla la cartografía y cinemática de las distintas estructuras de la zona.
dc.description.abstractenglishIn the Santander massif to the NE of the municipality of Guaca, a detailed geological mapping at a scale of 1:10000 was carried out with the main objective of identifying the main geological structures and the distribution of sedimentary rocks corresponding to the Jurassic. The area lacks recent cartographic studies due to this, the distribution of the different outcropping formations is not correctly evidenced, for it was made a field work with different control points to determine the contacts and lithological characteristics of these, a polygonal was made and from this was obtained the thickness of the Jordán Formation in the study area is 498mts. The area has as main structure a fault with sinistral behavior parallel to the Sisotá river, there is also a cylindrical anticline in the north of the area and a chevron anticline to the south of this, in addition the reverse faulting types produce the uplift of the Bocas Formation in the area, two sections are analyzed where a pop up structure is evidenced indicating a tectonic inversion, where the mapping and kinematics of the different structures in the area are detailed.
