dc.description.abstractenglish | The use of nanotechnology in forage production is presented as an advance towards the development of sustainable agriculture, which allows guaranteeing sufficient quality food in reduced areas, increasing the efficiency of nutrient absorption, and reducing the effects of climate change. The main objective of this project was to evaluate the application of nanofertilizers (ZnO, TiO2 and Zeolite) on an intensive crop of Avena sativa under greenhouse conditions. A completely randomized design was developed, using 15 treatments with 3 experimental units or trays per treatment, for a total of 45 units. The treatments consisted of a total control, two controls with 3 and 6 g of fertilizer, respectively, and 12 remaining treatments where each of the nanofertilizers was used at a rate of 0.1 and 0.2 g together with a balanced fertilizer, which was added at a rate of 3 and 6 g. Experimental data collection began with the first cutting 30 days after the crop was established; subsequently, samples were taken every 15 days for a total of 4 experimental cuts. The study variables were biomass production, bromatological composition of the crop and carbon sequestration. The most notable results were that the treatment with 0.1 g of zeolite and 3 g of fertilizer yielded biomass production values on a dry basis of 51.63 ton ha-1 yr-1, the treatment with 0.1 g of ZnO with 3 g of fertilizer had a protein content of 39.68%, when 0.2 g of ZnO with 3 g of fertilizer were used, the highest gross energy value was obtained with 3900, 47 Kcal/kg, the treatment with 0.1 g of zeolite and 3 g of fertilizer presented the highest amount of carbon stored in the biomass of 23.48 ton ha-1 yr-1 and when 0.2 g of TiO2 with 3 g of fertilizer were applied, carbon immobilization in the soil of 183,2 ton ha-1 yr-1 and 4.54 ton ha-1 yr-1 was obtained in the case of the roots. This demonstrates that intensive forage production with nanofertilization represents a viable alternative for obtaining large quantities of feed with important nutritional content and with multiple benefits for the environment.
