dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo de investigación busca ahondar en la pregunta por la relación conceptual entre “paz” y “libertad” dentro del Estado según la teoría contractualista propuesta por Thomas Hobbes en su obra Leviatán. Para lograr esto, en un primer momento se profundizará en la visión que el pensador inglés tenía sobre el hombre previo a la conformación del Estado, es decir, en el Estado de Naturaleza y como en este existen elementos intrínsecos del hombre que impiden el alcance de la paz, pero a su vez existe cierta inclinación a la búsqueda de una vida pacífica. Esto permitirá, en un segundo instante, entender la propuesta contractualista hobbesiana, en donde el filósofo ve la necesidad de que los hombres se agrupen mediante un Contrato en el cual, ciertos derechos que los hombres poseen en el Estado de Naturaleza son transferidos a un individuo quien se encargará de dirigir a todos los conformantes del Estado como si fueran uno sólo, esto con la esperanza que así se pueda lograr una vida sin el temor constante de la muerte, lo que separa dos roles distintos dentro de este Estado: súbditos y Soberano. Para finalmente analizar la libertad que poseen los súbditos y la libertad que posee el Soberano dentro del Estado y como esto en el pensar de Hobbes permite el alcance de la tan ansiada paz.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The present research work aims to delve into the question of the conceptual relationship between "peace" and "freedom" within the State according to the contractualist theory proposed by Thomas Hobbes in his work "Leviathan". To achieve this, in a first moment we will delve into the vision that the English thinker had about man prior to the formation of the State, that is, in the State of Nature and how in this there are intrinsic elements of man that prevent the achievement of peace, but in turn there is some inclination to the pursuit of a peaceful life. This will allow, in a second instant, to understand the Hobbesian contractualist proposal, where the philosopher sees the need for men to be grouped through a Contract in which certain rights that men possess in the State of Nature are transferred to an individual who will be in charge of directing all the members of the State as if they were one, in the hope that this way a life without the constant fear of death can be achieved, which separates two different roles within this State: subjects and Sovereign. To finally analyze the freedom possessed by the subjects and the freedom possessed by the Sovereign within the State and how this in Hobbes' thinking allows the achievement of the longed-for peace.
