dc.description.abstractEl análisis sectorial de la Agroindustria en la vereda Ciagá del Municipio de Matanza Santander se desarrolló en tres etapas principales: diagnostico, evaluación y propuesta. Resultado de este análisis, se evidencia que esta localización geográfica no cuenta con elementos que le permitan ser auto sostenible ni competitiva en mercados regionales ni en mercados internacionales. Entre las principales causas de esta problemática que afecta la calidad de vida de los pobladores del sector, se destaca: la falta de incorporación de ciencia y tecnología para el agro, falta de comunicación entre los pobladores de la vereda, la distribución de la tierra en pequeñas extensiones por cada propietario unido a su falta de visión empresarial y la falta de apoyo de los entes gubernamentales; elementos que no permite incrementar la rentabilidad del sector a través de la generación de economías de escala y a la disminución de costos por transporte. Con base en las debilidades observadas, las potencialidades del mercado y del sector y que en la actualidad no existen dinámicas nacionales que promuevan el desarrollo de una totalidad, se propone como estrategia para incrementar la rentabilidad del sector agrícola de la vereda Ciagá, el cultivo del maíz teniendo en cuenta tres factores principales: el desarrollo económico, el entorno normativo y el medio ambiente.
dc.description.abstractenglishAnalysis of the Agribusiness Sector in the path Matanza Township Ciaga Santander was developed in three main stages: diagnosis, evaluation and proposal. Results of this analysis, it appears that this geographical location has no elements that allow it to be self-sustaining and competitive in regional and international markets. Among the main causes of this problem that affects the quality of life for residents of the sector is emphasized: the lack of integration of science and technology for agriculture, lack of communication between the people of the village, the distribution of land in small extensions by each owner together with their lack of business vision and the lack of support government agencies; elements not possible to increase the profitability of the sector through the generation of economies of scale and reduced transportation costs. Based on the observed weaknesses, and market potential of the sector and there is currently no national dynamics that promote the development of a whole, is proposed as a strategy to increase the profitability of the agricultural sector of the village Ciaga, growing corn based on three main factors: economic development, the regulatory environment and the environment.
