| dc.description.abstract | “Bestiario sintético” es una propuesta artística que da como resultado un bestiario compuesto por seis piezas tridimensionales que buscan representar la dualidad que, por medio de todo tipo de intervenciones, el humano ha llegado a crear entre lo natural y lo artificial, modificando, alterando y deformando la morfología animal. La propuesta parte del interés personal por la forma animal y por las posibilidades plásticas y morfológicas que pueden surgir a partir de la representación de esta, por lo tanto, se puede hablar de un interés que muchas veces va orientado hacia la reinterpretación y deformación de la anatomía animal. En este proyecto se toma como punto de partida seis casos de alteraciones morfológicas que muchas especies animales han sufrido debido a intervenciones humanas, dando como resultado seres reales con características artificiales. La propuesta se realiza por medio de la exploración visual de las características anatómicas de cada uno de los animales junto con las características visuales de lo mecánico, y se desarrolla a través de materiales como la porcelana fría, la masilla epóxica y la pintura acrílica, materiales cuya versatilidad permite representar las formas de la anatomía animal así como la rigidez y geometría de lo mecánico. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | “Synthetic Bestiary” is an artistic project composed of six three-dimensional pieces that represent a duality created by humans between the natural and the artificial as a result of modifying, altering and deforming animal morphology. The project is based on personal interest in the animal shape and the plastic and morphological possibilities that could be represented, an interest that can lead to a reinterpretation and deformation of the animal anatomy. The starting point for this project is six cases of morphological alterations that many animal species have suffered due to human interventions, resulting in living beings with artificial characteristics. This project was completed through a visual exploration of the anatomic characteristics of each of the animals mixed with the visual characteristics of the mechanical system. It was developed with the use of cold porcelain, epoxy putty and acrylic paints. The versatility of these materials allowed to represent the shape of animal anatomy as well as the rigid and geometric nature of the mechanical. | |
